Hamburg Airport Helmut Schmidt (formerly Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel Airport) is located approx. 8 kilometres from Hamburg city centre. It is the oldest and fifth largest airport in Germany. The airport has two terminals which are connected by the AirportPlaza. The busiest routes in 2017 were Munich and Frankfurt/Main.
Also called Hamburg Cruise Center 2 (CC 2) or cruise terminal Altona. It has a berth for ships up to 326 m in length. Only a few minutes walk from the terminal is the fish market and the museum harbour Oevelgönne. Since 2016 cruise ships can be supplied by shore power. AIDAsol was the first ship to make use of this service.
The Steinwerder cruise terminal is located in Kaiser Wilhelm Harbour and was opened in 2015. The most modern cruise ships up to a length of 330 m can moor here. Due to its location on a peninsula in the middle of the harbour, the city centre is only a little difficult to reach. A new dock for harbour ferries was set up at the terminal for this purpose.
Also known as Hamburg Cruise Center 1 (CC1), it is located near the city centre in the Strandkai quarter. It offers two berths for cruise ships up to 330 and 295 metres in length. The 345m long Queen Mary 2 requires both berths at this cruise terminal.
